The full rubber rand is a lifesaver—scraped these against plenty of scree on a rocky day hike and they barely show a mark. Gore-tex kept my feet bone-dry through a wet morning crossing, and despite being crampon-compatible they still feel light enough for a long approach.

Took these out on a three-day backpacking trip with a loaded pack, and my feet stayed dry through a creek crossing and rain. The full rubber rand took a few scrapes against rocks without a mark, which is exactly what I needed. Sizing runs true, and they felt broken-in after just one day.

The nubuck leather is already softening up nicely after just two outings, and the full rubber rand took a few stray rock scrapes without a mark. They're stiff enough that my crampons feel secure, but light enough that I forgot I was carrying them on the approach.
