I wasn't sure a shovel this light would hold up, but the two-section telescoping shaft feels solid when I'm digging out a pit. It packs down small enough to disappear in my pack, and I like that the blade can go straight onto the handle for quick work.

The two-section shaft packs down small enough to fit inside my daypack, which is exactly what I needed for quick laps. The T-handle gives a solid grip even with gloves on, and it clears heavy coastal snow without flexing.

Took this on a three-day tour and it packs down small enough to disappear in my pack, which I appreciated on the climb up. The T-handle gives a solid grip when you're moving heavy wet snow, and the telescoping shaft means I can shorten it for tight pits. Easily the lightest shovel I've carried.
