The heavyweight fabric is exactly what I needed for scrambling on granite; it resists abrasion without feeling stiff. The articulation around the knees is subtle but makes a real difference during high steps. Definitely my new go-to for approach hikes and casual wear after a climb.

Gusseted crotch means I can get a full high-step without any pulling or binding, which is exactly what I needed for bouldering. The nylon-cotton blend feels substantial without being stiff, and they've held their shape after a dozen washes.
