The titanium head bites into ice on the first swing, no wasted motion, and it’s so light I forgot it was strapped to my pack until I needed it. Came back from a dawn couloir climb and it still looks brand new, which says a lot for how hard I hit it.

Weighs almost nothing on the pack, yet the titanium head bites into firn with zero bounce on the swing. Took it up a 50-degree couloir last weekend and it felt rock-solid for the whole descent.

William M. ★★★★★ Oct 20, 2026

The titanium head digs into ice like it’s nothing, and the whole axe feels surprisingly balanced for how light it is. Finally swapped out my old heavy one on a multi-pitch ascent and barely noticed it on my pack.
