Olympus Mons Pro - Main image
$1049.25 $1399 In stock

This new Olympus Mons Pro from La Sportiva is now the latest version of their premier extreme cold weather high altitude climbing boot for summits like Mt Everest, Denali, K2, as well as many other peaks in the Himalayas.  This boot will become the benchmark standard to which all other similar boots available will be compared.  The unique incorporated BOA® fast lacing dial system allows you to quickly and easily fine tune the fit of these boots without having to remove bulky handwear as feet swell and situations change.  Your boots are arguably the most important piece of gear that you need for mountaineering, so take the time to choose your gear wisely and make the best decision.  The "Olympus Mons S" version of these boots has Skitrab Tech-AT toe inserts for long expedition-style approaches and flat extreme cold weather tours on skis, but has reported fit issues with certain crampons and is not designed for skiing downhill, and so this "Olympus Mons Pro" version is the model that most climbers will want.  These are the most high-tech state-of-the-art lightest-weight high altitude mountaineering boots that have ever been created.  While boots like these can be a significant investment for many climbers, the proper footwear is worth every penny and will be money well spent.

Michael J. ★★★★★

I’ve taken these up to 7,000 meters and my feet stayed warm the whole way—the insulation is no joke. The fit hugs my heel just right, which makes a huge difference when you’re kicking steps for hours. Can’t imagine attempting another summit without them.

Lucy W. ★★★★★

For a boot this serious, I was surprised how little break-in time it needed—the stiffness is there for the ice but the ankle flexes just enough on rocky sections. Took it up to Camp 3 on Denali and my feet stayed warm and locked in the whole push.

Hazel X. ★★★★★

The double-layer construction kept my feet completely dry through a week of -30°F mornings on Denali, and the sole stiffness really pays off on hard ice steps. I’ve never had a boot feel this warm without turning into a brick.
