Category: 2 Person Tents

The MSR Hubba Hubba is their best-selling 3-season lightweight backpacking tent, and the design has stood the test of time for many years. This symmetrical tent has 2 side doors and 2 vestibules for separate, convenient, and protected access for each person.  The tent is freestanding and utilizes a traditional double-wall tent design with a separate breathable inner tent body and waterproof rainfly.  The tent poles are made with DAC Featherlite 9.3mm aluminum alloy and utilize a hub-style system for set up that helps to keep the tent lighter and more compact in your backpack.  A short pole across the top helps to provide more headroom and stability while adding protection from the elements for the doors.  A hybrid mesh and solid fabric tent body provides a balance between airflow, privacy, and weather protection.  Other features include pockets with cable ports for electronic devices, large overhead gear loft storage, a clothesline for dying wet items, rain gutters and updated kickstand vents on the rainfly for extra airflow.

Took this on a three-night trip and the symmetrical layout made splitting weight with my partner dead simple. Each vestibule fit a 60L pack with room to spare, so nothing ended up inside the sleeping area.

The two side doors make such a difference when you're sharing the tent—no more crawling over each other for midnight bathroom trips. And the vestibules swallowed my pack and boots without crowding the sleeping area. Set up was intuitive even in fading light, which I appreciated after a long day on t

I nearly called it a night when the wind picked up, but the symmetrical design with those two side doors kept everything balanced while I crawled out for a midnight break. The twin vestibules swallowed my pack and boots without crowding the interior—for a 2-person tent, it's genuinely livable.
