The Generator Mid is Scarpa's ultimate trad climbing shoe.  Designed for laser precision with the ultimate in all-day comfort, protection, and support on big walls and in long cracks. A padded mid-height ankle provides support and protection in wide cracks.  The M70 toe rand offers amazing precision for sustained micro edging and thin crack jamming. An Innovative Pressure Absorbing Fit System spreads the force in the heel and increases the fit. An active rand reduces pressure on the achilles tendon while still providing dynamic forward pressure to focus power over the big toe. 2mm Eco Suede leather upper. Moderately downturned and moderately asymmetrical. Full length 4mm Vibram® XS Edge sole rubber and a Dynamic Flexan midsole complete the features on this high performance climbing shoe.  5-star reviews all around.

James ★★★★★

The padded mid adds serious support on long multi-pitch days—my feet feel fresh even after hours of jamming. Precision on small edges is solid, though the break-in took a few sessions as expected for a trad shoe.

Matthew B. ★★★★★

After just two days of wearing them on a multi-pitch route, my feet felt less tired than with any other shoe I've tried. The padded midsole really does provide solid support on small edges.

Alexander ★★★★★

Ten pitches of granite crack climbing in these and my feet still weren't complaining—the padded mid really does take the edge off all-day wear. The precision on smears is solid too, though I did have to size them snug for that laser feel.
