Torrentshell 3L Jacket Women's

I was pleasantly surprised by how breathable this is for a three-layer shell; I didn't overheat while hiking uphill. The fully adjustable hood stays put even in gusty wind.

The 3-layer construction blocks wind and rain completely without feeling stiff or crinkly like cheaper shells do. Pit zips let me dump heat fast when I'm hiking uphill, then zip up to stay dry in a downpour. Packs small enough to stuff in my daypack for mountain weather that changes by the minute.

Finally found a rain jacket that doesn't feel like a sauna—the 3-layer laminate breathes surprisingly well for such a lightweight shell. The hood stays put even in gusty wind, which is a nice change from floppy designs.
