SplitWing UL Tarp

Pitched this with trekking poles and it handled a windy night above treeline without flapping much at all. The packed size is tiny enough that I forgot it was in my pack, which is exactly what I wanted for a fast and light trip. Weighs next to nothing for the coverage you get.

Sixteen ounces of peace of mind is how I’d sum this up, and the cut actually sheds wind better than my old tarp. Set it up on a rocky ledge with only six stakes and it stayed drum-tight through a gusty dusk. For solo miles where every gram counts, I’m not sure you can ask for more honest coverage.

Took this out for a few rainy nights and the pitch held steady through some gusty wind, which honestly surprised me given how featherlight it is. The coverage feels way more secure than the sub-ounce design would suggest.
