The Tencel blend makes all the difference—it’s somehow cooler against the skin than pure merino, yet still traps warmth when the wind picks up. I’ve thrown it on over a tee for morning walks and under a shell for chilly evenings, and it’s held its shape after three washes without a hint of pilling.

I wore this as my only midlayer on a chilly morning hike and stayed perfectly comfortable without overheating. The merino and lyocell fabric dries impressively quick after washing, which is a huge plus for travel.

I was skeptical about a hoodie this light actually keeping me warm, but the merino and Tencel blend does the job beautifully under a jacket. The fabric feels silky against my skin and breathes way better than my old cotton layers.
