Took this on a glacier trip and it handled a full haul system without the prusik knot ever jamming up on me. The side plates keep the rope captured nicely, which made setting up a 3:1 so much less fiddly with cold hands.

The prusik-minding design on this one actually works — the knot slides through cleanly instead of jamming up when you're hauling. I've used it on a couple of crevasse rescue practices and the setup went way smoother than the old pulley I was fighting with.

Bought this for glacier travel after my old pulley kept letting the prusik creep into the sheaves. This one keeps the knot minding cleanly even under load, and the setup came together way faster on a wet, icy rope. Solid metal build too, no flex I could feel.
