Didn't think I needed a helmet holder until I got tired of my helmet swinging off my pack on scrambles. The elastic mesh holds it snug and the four attachment points keep it from bouncing around. Fits my old beater helmet just as well as the new one.

The four attachment points keep my helmet from swinging around when I'm scrambling over talus. The elastic mesh is stretchy enough that my wife's larger ski helmet fits too, which I didn't expect. It's stayed tight through a full season of trips.

I usually just clip my helmet to a harness loop and it swings around all day, so this was a nice upgrade. The four attachment points keep it snug against the pack and it hasn't slipped once on rough approaches.
