Picked these up for a sketchy alpine route where the pro was questionable at best. Knowing the sling stretches to soak up peak load instead of dumping it all on my anchor lets me actually commit to moves. Rapped off feeling way better about the whole setup.

The shock absorption on these slings gives me real peace of mind on marginal placements. Placed a couple on an ice route and the reduced peak load was noticeable right away.

Used this on a sketchy anchor where the only gear was a marginal nut, and it did exactly what I wanted — stretched out and softened the catch instead of slamming the piece. The webbing held up fine after a couple of falls, no fraying at the bar tacks.
