This lightweight softshell jacket is the lightest weight full-zip jacket in the true softshell Gamma series from Arc'teryx. An amazingly versatile piece that is the perfect weight layer to put on when you need just a little more warmth, and a lightweight short-sleeve or long-sleeve shirt just isn't quite warm enough. Wear this as a windshirt, mid-layer, or outer layer for extra abrasion protection while alpine rock climbing. Put this over a superlight puffy jacket for extra snag and abrasion resistance during cold weather activities when extra protection is needed but wearing a bulky or boardy full-on waterproof hardshell would be undesirable. This jacket could go with you on virtually any mountain outing, anywhere, and any time of the year. Wind resistant and highly breathable, this jacket is a great weight for most of your hiking, backpacking, ski touring, and light and fast mountaineering outings.
